When they say “I’m fine,” but you’re not sure.

Your teen may be spending more time alone, worrying about how people see them, struggling with friendships, avoiding things they might fail at, or feeling like they don’t belong anywhere.

Some teens have been through really hard things. Some just feel off and don’t know why. Either way, they do not need a perfect explanation before therapy can begin.

What therapy can help your teen learn

  • Notice when anxiety, self-criticism, or fear of rejection is driving a decision

  • Understand patterns that keep repeating in emotions and relationships

  • Put words to feelings and communicate needs more clearly

  • Handle mistakes, conflict, and uncertainty without immediately avoiding or shutting down

  • Feel more confident in themselves and more secure in their relationships

The goal is to help your teen understand themselves and what keeps getting in the way.

It’s about helping them make sense of their emotions, relationships, friendships, family, and who they’re becoming. I use a relationship-focused, psychodynamic and process-oriented approach, with CBT and practical tools when helpful.
