Therapy for teens, young adults, and families.
Real Connection. Authentic Healing. Lasting Change.
For teens and young adults:
You’re constantly second-guessing yourself and feel drained from overthinking everything.
You’re not sure where you fit in and long for a real sense of belonging.
You want to enjoy your hobbies or even just relax but your mind won’t slow down.
You feel stuck between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
You’re questioning your identity, relationships, or beliefs, and it feels overwhelming or isolating.
You feel pressure to have it all figured out… but you don’t.
Does this sound familiar?
For parents:
Your teen is pulling away, shutting down, or no longer interested in the things they used to love.
You’re worried about your teen but don’t know how to reach them or how much to step in.
Conversations turn into conflict, silence, or walking on eggshells.
You’re trying your best, but nothing seems to be getting through.
If it does, you’re not alone.
I help teens, young adults, and families navigate the messy, confusing, and meaningful parts of growing up and becoming who they are.
I believe the most meaningful change happens through real connection—the kind that feels warm, honest, and even a little fun. In therapy with me, you’ll find a space where you can be yourself, feel supported, and also be gently challenged when you need it.
Together, we build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self-trust.
A lot of people come in already knowing coping skills or trying to take care of themselves but still feeling stuck. My approach goes deeper. We focus on understanding the root of what’s going on, not just managing symptoms.
My work is grounded in psychodynamic and process-oriented therapy, with thoughtful integration of CBT and practical skill-building. I also offer Brainspotting for clients who are ready to engage in deeper trauma work.
How I Help
Meet Angela Meadows, LCSW
For Teens
Hey, I’m Angie.
I’m based in Los Angeles, where I spend my time at the beach, in the mountains, hanging out with friends, and with my very playful pets.
I’ve been working with teens for nearly a decade, and I genuinely enjoy it. I know therapy can feel weird, awkward, or like something you didn’t exactly choose… and that’s okay. You don’t have to have the right words or know where to start.
A lot of the teens I work with are dealing with things like anxiety, overthinking, stress, identity, friendships, family stuff, or just feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some have been through really hard things. Some just feel off and don’t know why.
Either way, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself—talk, laugh, vent, or just sit—and where things actually start to make more sense over time.
For Parents
Hi, I’m Angie.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #107984) based in Los Angeles, and I’ve been working with teens and their families for nearly a decade. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Child Welfare.
My clinical experience includes work in short-term residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and residential treatment centers. In these settings, I supported adolescents and families navigating complex challenges such as substance use, self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, trauma, and relational difficulties.
That experience continues to inform how I work today.
I understand how difficult it can be to watch your teen struggle and how hard it can be to know how to help. My approach focuses on building a strong, trusting relationship with your teen while also supporting the broader family system when appropriate.
Through this work, I aim to help teens feel more understood and supported, while helping families improve communication, strengthen connection, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you’re a teen or a parent, you’re in the right place.
Therapeutic Services
If you’re a teen looking for therapy, I’m really glad you found me.
If you want a space where you can be yourself— talk, laugh, vent, cry, problem solve, or just sit without pressure— I’m here for that.
And if you’re here because someone else thinks therapy is a good idea… I get it. You don’t have to pretend or perform. You can say what’s really on your mind or not know what to say at all. We’ll start there. Just come as you are.
What we’ll do together:
Talk about what’s actually going on and not just the surface stuff
Make space for the things that feel confusing, heavy, or hard to say out loud
Build tools to handle stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions
Try new ways of responding to situations so you feel more in control
Use humor, honesty, and real conversation—because therapy doesn’t have to feel awkward or scripted
This isn’t about “fixing” you.
It’s about helping you handle hard things like your thoughts or emotions, friendships, family stuff, and figuring out who you are.
If you’re a family looking for support, welcome.
If things feel tense, disconnected, or like you’re walking on eggshells at home… you’re not alone.
If your teen is in therapy, there’s a good chance I’ll invite you into some family sessions. Not because anyone is “the problem,” but because none of us exist in isolation. We’re all part of systems that shape how we think, feel, and relate to one another.
In our work together, we’ll:
Build deeper understanding of each other
Explore what’s happening beneath the surface
Improve communication (including the unspoken parts)
Strengthen how support is given and received
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s deeper connection, more clarity, and a way forward that feels better for everyone.
If you’re in a season of transition—figuring out who you are, what you believe, or where you’re going—you’re in the right place.
This stage of life can feel exciting, confusing, overwhelming… sometimes all at once.
Together, we’ll focus on helping you become who you want to be—with a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns, and what’s been holding you back.
Our work will help you:
Feel more grounded and confident in who you are
Navigate change and uncertainty with more clarity
Build self-trust and resilience
Address the root of what’s going on—not just manage symptoms
This work is about understanding yourself more clearly, handling what life throws at you, and making choices that feel right for you.
