Navigating anxiety, identity, or the challenges of growing up?

Virtual therapy for teens, young adults, and families in California

Most therapy teaches coping skills.
I help you understand what’s underneath, so change lasts.

  • For teens and young adults:

  • You’re constantly second-guessing yourself and feel drained from overthinking everything

  • You feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your own head

  • You don’t feel like yourself—or don’t really know who you are

  • You’re trying to figure out your identity, relationships, or what you believe

  • You want to relax or enjoy things, but your mind won’t slow down

  • You feel stuck between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming

  • You’re dealing with friendships, family stress, or feeling misunderstood

  • You’ve been through things that still feel heavy or hard to talk about

Does this sound familiar?

  • For parents:

  • Your teen seems more withdrawn, irritable, or overwhelmed

  • They’ve lost interest in things they used to enjoy

  • You’re noticing anxiety, low mood, or changes in behavior

  • You’re worried, but don’t know how to reach them

  • Conversations turn into conflict, silence, or walking on eggshells

  • Your teen is struggling with identity, belonging, or peer relationships

  • You’re seeing challenges with focus, motivation, or school

  • There’s tension at home that doesn’t seem to resolve

If this feels familiar, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

How I Help

I help teens, young adults, and families navigate the messy, confusing, and meaningful parts of growing up and becoming who they are.

I believe the most meaningful change happens through real connection—the kind that feels warm, honest, and even a little fun. In therapy with me, you’ll find a space where you can be yourself, feel supported, and also be gently challenged when you need it.

Together, we build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self-trust.

Most therapy focuses on coping skills. That can help, but it’s often not enough.

My work goes deeper, focusing on patterns, relationships, and the root of what’s going on so change actually lasts. I draw from psychodynamic and process-oriented therapy, which means we look at how your past experiences and relationships are shaping what’s happening now, and pay attention to what’s coming up in real time so we can work through it—not just talk about it.

I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and practical tools when they’re helpful, so you have support both in and outside of sessions.

For those ready to do deeper trauma work, I’m trained in Phase 1 Brainspotting, a focused, body-based approach that helps process experiences that feel hard to put into words.

If you’re ready to get started, I’d love to connect.

Meet Angela Meadows, LCSW

For Teens

Hey, I’m Angie.

I’m based in Los Angeles, where I spend my time at the beach, in the mountains, hanging out with friends, and with my very playful pets.

I’ve been working with teens for nearly a decade, and I genuinely enjoy it. I know therapy can feel weird, awkward, or like something you didn’t exactly choose… and that’s okay. You don’t have to have the right words or know where to start.

A lot of the teens I work with are dealing with things like anxiety, overthinking, stress, identity, friendships, family stuff, or just feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some have been through really hard things. Some just feel off and don’t know why.

Either way, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself—talk, laugh, vent, or just sit—and where things start to make more sense over time.

For Parents

Hi, I’m Angie.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #128710) based in Los Angeles, and I’ve been working with teens and their families for nearly a decade. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver, with a concentration in child welfare.

I’ve worked with teens in higher levels of care, including residential treatment and intensive outpatient programs, supporting adolescents and families through challenges like anxiety, trauma, self-harm, substance use, and relationship difficulties. This means I’m comfortable sitting with the hard stuff—and helping it actually shift.

I understand how difficult it can be to watch your teen struggle, and how hard it can be to know how to help.

My approach focuses on building a strong, trusting relationship with your teen while also supporting the family system when appropriate. Together, we work toward better communication, stronger connection, and meaningful, lasting change.

Whether you’re a teen or a parent, you’re in the right place.

  • Anxiety and chronic overthinking

Therapeutic Services

Teen Therapy (Ages 12-18)
$200.00

If you’re a teen looking for therapy, I’m really glad you found me.

If you want a space where you can be yourself—talk, laugh, vent, cry, or just sit without pressure—I’m here for that.

And if you’re here because someone else thinks therapy is a good idea… I get it. You don’t have to pretend or perform. You can say what’s actually on your mind or not know what to say at all. We’ll start there.

What we’ll do together:

  • Talk about what’s really going on—not just the surface stuff

  • Figure out patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships

  • Make space for things that feel confusing, heavy, or hard to say

  • Build tools to handle anxiety, stress, and big emotions

  • Try new ways of responding so you feel more in control

This isn’t about “fixing” you.
It’s about helping you handle real-life stuff—like your emotions, relationships, friendships, family, and figuring out who you are.

Family Therapy
$250.00

If you’re a parent or family looking for support, welcome.

If things feel tense, disconnected, or like you’re walking on eggshells at home, you’re not alone.

When I work with teens, I often include family sessions because real change doesn’t happen in isolation. We’re all part of systems that shape how we think, feel, and relate to each other.

In family therapy, we’ll:

  • Improve communication (including what’s not being said)

  • Better understand each other’s experiences and needs

  • Identify patterns that keep you stuck

  • Learn how to give and receive support more effectively

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s more understanding, more connection, and a way forward that actually feels better at home.

Young Adult Therapy (18+)
$200.00

If you’re in a phase of transition—figuring out who you are, what you want, or what you believe—you’re not alone.

This stage of life can feel exciting, confusing, overwhelming… sometimes all at once.

In our work together, we’ll:

  • Make sense of what you’re feeling and why

  • Work through patterns that are keeping you stuck

  • Navigate relationships, identity, and life direction

  • Build confidence and trust in yourself

It’s about understanding yourself, working through what’s been hard, and building a life that feels more like your own.
